SKINNY MYTH: “Lifting weights will make you bulky.”
Myth.
Women do not usually have the genetic potential to develop large bulky muscles because they possess a lower amount of testosterone.
Resistance training helps not only to burn calories, but also protect against the risk of osteoporosis.
Use a greater number of repetitions with lower amounts of weight to increase strength and flexibility.
More muscle will result in an overall increase in your metabolism, and a higher metabolism means you’ll lose more weight.
